PolitiCall 4.1 is here

I just released a fresh version of PolitiCall—one that I hope makes it even easier to get in touch with your members of Congress. You can grab it from the App Store.

The story of this update warrants its own dev diary post, but there’s a lot to love:

  • Siri and Shortcuts support. You can say things like “Find reps in PolitiCall,” “Open Delia Ramirez in PolitiCall,” and “Ask PolitiCall how many days until the next election” and get quick answers or hop straight to a specific screen in the app.

  • Spotlight search. Sparing some of the dev details for this post, in my last update I lost the support for calling a rep directly from search results on your device. That’s back now—and it’s probably my favorite way to reach out to a rep.

  • Widgets, widgets, widgets. For a single rep, a snippet of a collection, and election countdown widgets. Right now the election widget supports the special elections in Florida for April 1 in addition to the 2026 mid-terms and 2028 Presidential election.
